Wedding Styles: Curled and Clipped Back Hairstyles

wedding hairstyles1.jpg1 Wedding Styles: Curled and Clipped Back Hairstyles Weddings are events that not only join two people in the bonds of matrimony; it also gives many people the chance to get dressed in the finest clothes and stylish new hairdos.  Being the bride means that more care and attention is taken to ensure that the hairstyle that she chooses helps her to stand out from the rest of the wedding party.

Having the bride’s hair loosely curled and attached to the back of her head with a jewel encrusted comb is a nice complement to her wedding attire. Adding baby’s breath to her hair and the bride looks as if she had stepped from the pages of a fairy tale story.

If the bride has longer hair, she can have her tresses coiled into ringlets that can drape loosely across her shoulders and held together with an ornamental barrette. Or for a more casual ceremony, she can use hair pins to keep the ringlets higher on her head.

Either style looks elegant and refined and should make the bride feel her best by knowing that she looks every bit the star of her big day. Having accessories helps the appearance of hairstyles and, at the same time, helps the bride to keep her hair in place as she enjoys her day.

This is a popular style for those girls that wish to have the support which is associated with the straps and is therefore a perfect style for those girls that are curvy or busty and are seeking the appropriate support for these types of styles.

These types of prom dresses often have jewelling or beading detail through the bodice of the dress which extends into the straps of the dress and therefore hair that is worn down could hide these small details of the dress which are so important in the overall style of the dress.

Adding length to the hair with the use of curls that are piled on to the head in an updo is a great way to take advantage of a popular updo style while accentuating the halter style of the dress.

Braid Hairstyles For Black Women

I don’t think that there is one single person on the face of Earth who has not heard about braided hair. Irrespectively of nationality, color skin or religion, most women wear their hair braided at least once in their lives. Although all this braided hairstyles are still unique.

The root of this hairstyle lies in the history of African-American people. The ancestors wore their hair in braids. This wasn’t just a practical solution, so their hair didn’t bother them, but the way braids were created sent a message to the other people. They could tell by the braids that a person belonged to a certain tribe. Usually the message referred to personality traits, but also could tell about important events regarding the life of the person in question. In the case of women the braids told the men whether she is or not married. Since then the braids have lost these functions, nowadays they have mostly aesthetic purposes.

This kind of hairstyle is always fashionable and besides this it is easy to maintain. Many people are convinced that only those can have braided hairstyles who have long hair. This isn’t necessarily true. Such braids can be achieved using short hair as well.  Of course if one wants long hair that is easy to get: we can always use hair extensions. In most cases it is used, since most people don’t have enough hair too make the braids look good.

Those who are against such hairstyles justify their opinion by saying that these braids aren’t easy to change, which means that once you have got such a hairstyle it stays that way until you decide to get rid of it. At this point I have to contradict these people, because what they say isn’t entirely true. There are a lot of other braid hairstyles for black women you can have even if your hair is braided. Such hairstyles include ponytails (ideal to wear on a daily basis) and for more special occasions: updos, buns and French twist. Even the braids can be diversified: they don’t have to be entirely braided. Partial braids give a more romantic look.

There are many different types of braids including box braids, micro braids, invisible braids, cornrow braids and zigzag braids. Not only adults can have this hairstyle, it is often had by children as well. There are a lot of celebrities who can be seen having such a hairstyle, among them Alicia Keys. Besides we can say that braided hairstyles are very practical both in the summer (the hair won’t keep you hot) and in the winter.

Braid hairstyles for black women have already become some sort of characteristic that is typical for this ethnic group. Because braids can be done in so many different ways, this hairstyle has become a way for (mostly) black women to express themselves, because the way their braids are made tell the others around them a little something about the personality of the person in question (for example if she has a sporty style or a more elegant one).

2008-2009 Hairstyle : Fringe

With the fringe hair trend in 2008-2009 there are three main ways you can wear it.

1. The Kate – that’s what we’ve dubbed Kate Moss’ fringe as she’s wearing it in quite a unique way – fairly long. And for Kate it’s a signature part of the look.

2. The Pixie – the fringe that takes the most fashionable to pull off, ultra short and quite boyish the pixie fringe really sits as a very significant part of the 2008 and 2009 cropped hairstyle but is an element you can easily borrow.

3. The Blunt Fringe – the style that is the perfect choice. Cut thick by bringing in hair from near either temple, the thick, blunt cut fringe remains the most fashionable way to wear this hair trend.
