Hairstyle & Haircut Collection by Lauri Casey

Celebrity Hairstyles + Jaclyn Smith

I suppose you have heard about Jaclyn Smith even if you weren’t born yet at the time when she got to stardom. This happened during the 1970s when she got a role in the television series entitled Charlie’s Angels. I am sure you know what I am talking about because that part really made her famous at that time even though she has been a bit eclipsed by Farrah Fawcet.

Over the years you could have observed that there is a very strong relationship between celebrity hairstyles + Jaclyn Smith. She has got a hairstyle that has become her trademark and a lot of people admire her for this. One of her hairstyles that is significant to know about features layers cut around the back that vary in length between medium and long. The sides also had layers and this adds movement and shape, and so she gets and amazing overall look. She also knows that the highlights that she has added to the top and the sides add light to her style and complements her features very nicely.

Another hairstyle that you should know about is a seductive one that also features layers in the back and o the sides to add body to the hairstyle. Body is also added by the curls and the advantage of this hairstyle is that it is funky and it is very easy to maintain if it is trimmed regularly.

Here is what you should do to steal her style: apply a bit of volumizing mousse on your damp hair and then blow dry the hair 2-inch sections at a time. It is advisable to use a round brush to add some roundness to the hairstyle.  The nest thing to do is to spritz the lower sections with styling spray and wrap the sections around a large barrel curling iron. You should hold the section on the barrel for a short while and then repeat the process with another section. The strands around the face should be curled backwards, or in any case, away from the face. The last thing to do is to apply some shine serum on your fingers and rub it through the hair to break up the curls, and don’t forget not to use a comb in case of curls, because it will ruin them.

I am sure that you have seen celebrity hairstyles + Jaclyn Smith in numerous magazines and you were wondering about how to style it. Now you’ve got the answer. Still firstly you should decide whether the hairstyle is right for you or not. The most important factor that influences this is the shape of the face that you have. If it is similar to the shape that she has then you can be sure that the hairstyle will be right for you. You should also think about your lifestyle, because the hairstyle needs quite a lot of styling so if you don’t have time for it, you might want to consider getting another hairstyle.

Medium Half Up Half Down Prom Hairstyles

It may seem like most half up half down prom hairstyles are meant for ladies with long hair, but most of those looks could easily be achieved with shoulder-length hair or longer. Half up half down hairstyles are a wonderfully romantic look for prom, as they keep the hair out of the face (perfect for dancing) but look carefree and unfussy at the same time.

Here are some of the best looks off the red carpet in the past year or so. You may notice that a lot of these women don't look too overdone – that's because the current hair trend seems to be "less is more," with an emphasis on effortless-seeming looks.

Zooey Deschanel's half up half down hairstyle may look extra casual, but imagine how sweet it'd look with a little more curl in the section that is down. If you have a cut that includes a face-framing fringe, this sort of hairstyle may work well with it.

The sweet twisted half up half down hairstyle Jennifer Garner sported at an Invention of Lying press conference would make a great prom look on anyone with medium hair. It would look especially elegant with a sparly hair pin at the point where the two twists of hair are fastened together at the back of the head.

Singer-turned-actress Mandy Moore sported a romantic braided half up half down hairstyle that would look beautiful at prom or any other formal occasion. While it's definitely a special look, it doesn't look overdone.

Finally, the breezy braided style Jennifer Aniston wore to the 2009 Oscars is a beautiful alternative to a half up half down hairstyle for medium-length hair. By french-braiding the section along Aniston's hairline, her stylist was able to keep hair out of the actress' face while allowing her the freedom of movement she clearly enjoys.
