The bridal veil is a lovely accent to the wedding gown. It definitely says, “Here comes the bride”! To make the most of your veil, you will need to choose a headpiece and hairstyle which complement it. These are some suggestions for beautiful bridal veil and wedding hairstyle combinations.

Many wedding gowns are shown with matching veils. This can be the perfect finishing touch for your gown, especially when the veil is adorned with a detail pulled from the bridal gown, such as a matching lace applique. The perfectly matched veil and wedding dress set, however, can become very formal and a bit stiff, so always feel free to select an alternate veil which looks pretty with your gown without being an exact match.

Once you have the veil and gown worked it, it it time to put the rest of your look together. In general, the more veil you have, the more grand or large your hairstyle should be. You do not want to end up looking like a bald lady swallowed up by an enormous veil! So if you have selected a veil with several tiers, for instance, opt for a wedding hairstyle which also has fullness and a strong presence. A sleek ultra modern bun would not hit the right note, whereas an updo with a bit of a bump to it would be well balanced with a fuller veil.

A full veil also needs bridal hair jewelry with some presence. If your wedding is formal, a sparkly tiara can be placed right up against the front edge of the veil, which should be worn right on the top of the head or just back a pinch on the crown of the head (more narrow veils can be worn further back). Brides who plan to remove their veils after the ceremony can opt for bridal hair jewelry worn in the back of a fancy updo, where it will really shine once the veil is removed for the reception. A large crystal comb or a scattering of sparkly hairpins could be just right.

When deciding on your wedding hairstyle, it is important to consider where on your head you wish to wear your veil. If you like the look of a long veil flowing behind you, but prefer not to have any veil near your face, opt for a style like a braided bun in the center back of your head. The veil can be placed below your hairdo, and your headpiece directly above it. Great hair jewelry for this bridal hairstyle and veil combination include a jeweled circlet which goes around the edge of the bun or a large feather flower set on one side of the hairdo.

Brides with short hair will have a different set of considerations. You may well end up wearing your hair in its everyday style, if you have a short haircut tailored to a specific look. It is still worthwhile to have your hair professionally styled on the day of your wedding to make sure it looks its absolute best. Besides, hairstylists have tricks that can add volume to even the shortest haircut or give a perfect sleek finish to styles like modern bobs. When you have less hair, a single layer veil looks the best, as too much fullness will be overwhelming. Anchoring a veil in short hair can be tricky, but if you select a double headband as your bridal hairpiece, it will be much easier. The comb of the veil can be nestled between the two bands of the headband to prevent the veil from sliding down the back of your head.

A final tip is to have your veil and headpiece selected before having a hair trial at the salon. This will help your hairstylist to guide you to the hairdos which will be the best match to your accessories. You will be ensured of coming up with a veil, headpiece, and bridal hairstyle which all look fantastic together.

Celebrity Elegant Hairstyles

In case you are getting ready for a special even or occasion and you have no idea what to do with your hair, then I suggest you take a look at celebrity elegant hairstyles because I am sure that you will find one that is right for the occasion, the type of hair you have and for your personality as well. In this article I am going to present some hairstyles that you might like and that are quite easy to create, so you won’t have to spend much time with it.

The first hairstyle was worn by Jennifer Lopez at one point. She had some wonderful curls that you can get as well if you follow these steps: apply some volumizing hair mousse and blow dry the hair outward using a round brush for volume. Once you are done create a side part and using a curling iron, curl your hair. It is best to clip the top half of the hair and curl the bottom half first. Once you are done, curl the top half as well. This way you can be sure that you do not miss any strands. The last thing you have to do is to put some hair gel on your fingers and fluff out the curls. To keep the hairstyle in place apply some strong-hold hairspray.

At one point Amanda Seyfried had a very cute updo that you can have as well. The first thing you should do is to create a side part and apply spray gel to the dry hair and comb the hair to achieve sleek hair. Once you are done, create two low ponytails on both sides of the head, one close to the other. Next put some gel on your fingers and wind the ponytails around each other. You should do this by wrapping them over the roots of the ponytails. Secure the ends with bobby pins, but you should leave a few strands out for a bit messy look. For a finish you should apply some strong-holding hairspray to keep the strands in place.

Jessalyn Gilsig should also be taken into consideration when it comes to celebrity elegant hairstyles because at one moment she had a formal updo that you could have as well, if you started by applying some curl enhancing cream to wet hair and then blow dry it. The next thing you should do is to lift the top layer of the hair and tease it to add some volume to the hairstyle. Wrap the hair around hot rollers for about 30 minutes and once the rollers have cooled shake the hair and pull it into a chignon in the back of the head and secure it with bobby pins. Don’t forget not to comb the hair so that you won’t ruin the curls. You can get the most of the hairstyle if you pull some wisps near your ear and you apply a strong-hold hairspray on the hairstyle once you have finished it.

Medium Length Hair Styles 2011

Medium length hair styles this year are all about touchable texture, softness you can see, and effortless beauty. Nothing has to be perfect and your attitude reflects that carefree feeling. Jill Flint boasted a chic straight bob with soft ends on the red carpet and Meagan Good upped the playfulness by flipping out the ends on hers just a bit. Both had a medium length bob, but each gave off a completely different vibe.

Funky Hairstyles For Girls

When people hear about funky hairstyles for girls they immediately think about something outrageous or rebellious. They are right in some way because these hairstyles are meant to show the wild sides of girls, but people don’t have to be thinking about something crazy. I think that the best attribute for these haircuts is ‘unconventional’ but still not unheard of.

These hairstyles are for those girls who are bold enough to wear them and creative enough to create a unique style. Even in our days the hairstyles are considered to be modern, although they have been around for some time. In most of the cases the girls are inspired by sci-fi. The best thing about funky hairstyles is that there are no limitations in length, type or color, you can do whatever you want, while it is crazy enough.

In the following section I am going to present three funky hairstyles that are fashionable and popular among women. The first on is the pixie cut. I am sure that you have seen stars having this hairstyle and in most cases they made sensation with their new look, because it is an unexpected change.

The advantage of the hairstyle is that it is very easy to maintain because it is so short and although some people might think that there is nothing to do with it, the truth is that it can be styled to have different looks. If you are brave enough to face the world, you could even color it with bright or neon colors. It is a sure way to be noticed wherever you go. One of the popular pixie styles is the one featuring spikes. I find this hairstyle one of those that can be very easily achieved.

Another hairstyle involves asymmetrical bangs. For a long time it was a sort of convention to have a hairstyle that is totally symmetrical, but from a time on it is more modern to have asymmetrical hairstyles, for example the hairstyles in case of which the hair is parted on the side. When we are talking about funky hairstyles for girls we should keep in mind that asymmetry is taken to another level and the hairstyles usually have something freaky about them. The main idea of funky hairstyles is that they shouldn’t be conventional in any way.

The last hairstyle that I am going to write about features so-called tight curls. In this case the hair is shorter than shoulder length and it works best if your hair is naturally curly. You can achieve curls by using an iron as well, but it takes longer time. If you got the curls, you can enhance the look by adding some colors to accentuate the curls. The most popular colors are red and green, but you could use any color you’d like. If you wish to have a funky hairstyle I suggest first to ask your hairstylist because not everybody has the right face shape for these hairstyles so it is better to know the opinion of a professional.
