However, the ancient Greeks did not manufacture soap. They cleaned their bodies with clay, sand, ashes and then coat them with oil. Oils and dirt were then rubbed with a metal tool. Germans also found a soap made from tallow and ashes, but they used it to color their hair in red.

The Romans built many baths. From the second century it was recommended to people here to use bath soaps for washing and as medicine for skin. With the collapse of the Roman Empire in 467 AC baths importance began to decline and Europe has felt the impact of poverty on human health has led to the major diseases of in the Middle Ages. In the XVII century baths began to be restored and so cleanliness in Europe. The use soap and also its production grew very much in this period. Over time, the soap began to be improved, to include various flavors and ingredients for skin maintenance. The use of olive oil instead of animal fat in soap making is today one of the leading trends in soap manufactures.

So, today bath soap is probably the most used item for cleaning a skin. Simple, with special components and ingredients, with different scents and favors, soaps are available everywhere and can be used for any bath. However, before buying a product, you must know exactly what and how it is produced, which are the main ingredients and you can buy bath soaps from well known shops that offer a quality guarantee.

You can never be sure if the product you are using is good or not, until you see the effect that it has on your skin. Some products can work for you, while others can harm your skin only because they are not meant for it. Some soaps can dry the skin. When it comes to prices, they will vary very much, depending on the products, the store you buy them from and of course the quality of the product you have chosen.
