It comes a moment is almost every woman’s life that she starts looking for a wedding dress and that means that she has found the person that she thinks she will love for the rest of her life. This is why women think that this is a special event and so they are trying to find the perfect dress that would make this special day even more special.

A lot of brides choose a special theme for the wedding and it is not uncommon to choose a period from the past. In this case you might find yourself looking for vintage clothes and the chances are that you will find the one that you are looking for. In this article I am going to tell you about some of the 1970s wedding dresses that I have found.

The first dress is a white jersey wedding gown that some people say that it looks like it has been stolen from Star Wars. You might braid your hair and you could end up looking like princess Leia. The dress is made of white poly-blend jersey and it has a mini high neck. Just as the majority of the dresses from that time this one also has long sleeves and we might say that the dress is quite simple, the only decoration it has are some inverted Vs stitching at the bust and also at the cuffs.

The dress is in an excellent condition, but there are some marks at the breast and there is also some dirt at the hem and train that probably could be removed through fry-cleaning. Besides these, there are no more problems. In case you don’t want the train you could remove it and you would also get rid of the dirt spot.

The next wedding dress that I am going to present has a classic empire cut and according to the fashion of that period, it has a wide and scooped neckline. The dress comes with a sheer white voile layer that comes over a slightly A-line sheath. The dress has been created with an alencon lace bodice that is decorated with tiny faux pearls and it has sheer and slim sleeves.

The ends of the sleeves are very interesting because they end in a beautiful beaded lace split bell cuff. All the details on the sleeves make the absence of the trail disappear. The bottom part of the dress has been accented with lace and in the back the dress has a modified court train that starts at high waist and it goes all the way down to the floor.

I think that now you got a pretty good idea about 1970s wedding dresses and you might also know that they aren’t impossible to find, you just have to look in the right places. They are not as expensive as you might think, even more, it is possible that you could get them cheaper than a brand new designer dress at a store in our days.
