Brides, on the other hand, have a multitude of decisions to make and just one of them is the hairstyle for the wedding.

Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. There are so many things to consider. First, there’s the dress and veil. Then, the bride must choose her accessories, makeup look and of course her hairstyle.

Often the type of hairstyle a bride chooses has a lot to do with her veil or headpiece. However, you may already have a preference as to whether or not you want to wear your hair up or down. Some bridal headwear can accommodate either style. The first thing you want to consider is the look you’re going for.

Do you want to look like a delicate, refined lady on your wedding day? Go for a modest chignon or French twist with your bangs swept back off your forehead. This look puts your face in focus and accentuates a slender neck. Maybe you prefer a romantic fairy princess look on your wedding day. In that case, long, flowing locks are perfect.

Create gorgeous waves by setting your long hair on hot rollers, then gently combing out the curls to make them less defined. Another popular style for not only weddings but everyday is the half-up, half-down style. Pull the top and side portions of your hair back and secure with bobby pins that match your hair color. If you want some volume, tease the top portion of your hair before pulling it back.

Accessories are often used for bridal hairstyles. If you’re not wearing a headpiece such a veil, you may want to add some sparkle by using sparkling rhinestone combs or clips in your hair. A rhinestone headband can look gorgeous and hold your bangs out of your face. For a classic yet beautiful look, use a bejeweled headband and tease the portion of hair behind the headband. You’ll get some gorgeous height and your hair will fall beautifully down your back. For those with short hair, a sparkling barrette or even a silk flower behind the ear can give your look pizazz.

There are even shimmer powders and sprays that can be used to give your hair a romantic look. Umberto Gianni makes a great shimmer powder that is gently patted onto hair with a puff and adds a gorgeous glow to any style. These powders and sprays are not garish and glittery, but rather give the hair a beautiful sheen and shimmer that catches the light and accents the face.

If you need more ideas for your wedding day style, there are lots of pictures of wedding hairstyles in wedding magazines and even online that can help you find the style you like best.

All brides without exception look beautiful on their wedding day. Trust me. There is something magical happens on your wedding day and you will look beautiful. Whatever hairstyle you choose is going to be absolutely gorgeous!

Hair Tips

Not everyone has the beautiful, lustrous hair that you see on the television fashion models. Most people have at least something that they do not like about their hair. It might be too straight or too curly. They might not like the color. Maybe they are going gray earlier than they would like, or their hair has been damaged from too many styling products. No matter what the damage, there are things that can be done to help hair recover. In addition, there are things that can be done to make hair better and more manageable while it recovers. In other words, recovery takes time, but there are things that you can do to make your hair look better while you are waiting. These are the kinds of things that most women – and men who have trouble with their hair – are not aware of. They really do not think about it. Instead, they focus on the recovery of their hair and think that they just have to live with it until it gets better. In some cases this may be true, but usually there is something that can be done besides wearing a wig or a hat!

For people with very straight hair, there are some options. Shampoos and conditioners exist that are designed to help these people have more body in their hair. Often straight hair is limp and lifeless, and adding some extra body will help this out immensely. There are other people with straight hair, though, who have plenty of hair – it just does not want to do anything but hang there. For these people, a body creating product might be helpful, but they may also want to do something more, such as getting a permanent wave to give their hair some curl. These products are much better than they used to be, and the results last longer and look better than in the past. People with straight hair might also consider having it cut in a short style or keeping it pulled back most of the time so that it does not hang in their face too much.

For the opposite end of the spectrum – people with naturally curly hair – they can have it straightened. There are products to do this, and there are also flat irons that will take the curl out of hair temporarily.

How to Style Loose Updos

81067363_Detail.jpgOne of the most perfect styles for summer through casual events to semi-formal dinners is the loose Updo which has an air of sophistication that is easy to style. With a few strategically placed pins and a style that can be finished with hairspray, styling a loose Updo can be a great way to create a hairstyle for an evening out, that is semi-formal and looks great in appearance, but not over the top.

One of the most popular ways that you can style a loose Updo is through the use of bobby pins which can be placed within the hair. Start to pull back strands of hair off of the face, but don’t pull the strands of hair too tight, as this can create a formal appearance within the hairstyle. With each strand of hair that has been pulled back from the face, back comb the roots and use a small amount of hairspray to ensure that the style is going to last through the entire day, or through the entire night. Next, pull the strand of hair back into the style, through the crown of the head, securing it with a pin which is inserted the opposite way into the hair.

Use varying lengths and varying sizes of hair through the strands which are pulled back to keep the look casual and as well, style the hair with various sections that are pulled back, criss-crossed over one another to create an information appearance that can be seen through the loose Updo. Continue this throughout the hair – through the entire head of hair, including the back, or consider creating the Updo with a simplistic style, leaving the back sections down, in a popular half up and half down style.
