Massey Hairstyles

  • People with curly hair tend not to enjoy having the kind of tresses they have. Some says it’s because managing their hair can be quite challenging while others simply are easy targets of teasing due to their unusual locks.Perhaps it was due to this fact that Lorraine Massey grew up with curly hair sticking atop her head that she, a celebrity hairdresser and co-author of ‘Curly Girl’ became an expert in caring, managing and styling curly hair.

  • It is quite common for kids such as Massey during her younger years to feel shabby and unkempt with frizzy and unmanageable curls. At 19, when Massey was already a stylist in Hong Kong that she tried not to shampoo her hair for a day and discovered that her hair looked good. Since her hair has thick texture, it looked good even without shampooing it.

  • Since then she decided not to use shampoo on her hair because she realized that all shampoo contain the harsh ingredient Sodium Laurel Sulfate. However this does not mean she doesn’t clean her hair in order to achieve a better and prettier appearance. Massey carefully explains to her clients that she may not use shampoo, but instead she uses gentler methods and products to cleanse her hair for it to regain some natural oils. These natural oils protect the scalp and accounts for moisturized and lively hair.

Hairstyles for Thin Hair

When you have thinner hair, it can be hard to find the right hairstyle that will not only compliment your facial shape but also perhaps hide the thinning spots of your hair as well. All too many times the latest and most popular hairstyles tend to only accentuate your thinning hair instead of making you feel more comfortable and fashionable. There are millions of people who have thin or fine hair that may not go well with absolutely every hairstyle, but there are many great hairstyles that can compliment your hair and your style.
As men and women both experience thinning and fine hair, men have to be just as careful with their hairstyles as women. For men the absolute best hairstyle and cut to go with is of course the short hairstyle.

If you have really fine and thinning hair than you will want to avoid the spiked up look but if your hair is only slightly fine than you can more than likely still pull off the gelled spikes and enjoy this style as it is a classic that will never go out of style.

If you hair is too fine for this look than there is nothing wrong with leaving your hair short and not styled. Men can pull off this look as sexy, rugged and even casual.

Hairstyles for Thin Hair

As a woman, it is not as easy to find the best hairstyles to compliment their thin or fine hair. Short hairstyles are known for taking the attention away from your hair and back to your face. This makes the shorter lengths, about chin length or slightly longer, your best choice for appropriate length. The side swept bangs are very popular for 2008 and they are perfect for thinning hair because they bring attention to your face and add a bit of volume to your hair cut at the same time. To create the appearance of thicker and fuller hair all you have to do is pin your hair behind your ears. It is the simplest technique to create the appearance of thick hair, even if you don’t have it.

Hair Styles for Children

Hair Styles for Children picturesChildren are adorable and are known to have an appearance unlike any other creature in the world. Hair styles for children tend to exuberate that level of cute, even by the most simplest of means. A lot of parents like to keep their child’s hair short (generally shoulder length), as it is easier to do things with and take care of rather than long hair. On a little girl, a bob is the most common choice, and is usually paired with bangs rather than without.

Little boys tend to have a lot less to do with their hair, as most of the time moms or dads keep his hair clean cut and short. There are still a few parents who leave their boy’s hair to be a little longer, in a mushroom cut or sometimes longer, and that is okay too. Spiked hair is a popular choice for little boys, as there is an element of maturity to this style and the child can feel as if they are emulating their father or older brother.

With children, hairstyles tend to be really simple with little or no effort except when formal events approach. Most parents are against dying their hair, so their hair is always natural and full of health and beauty. Children should not use permanent hair dye, as there are many dangerous chemicals that can damage the young hair.

There are many look-books which are available at the office of the stylist that allow parents, as well as children to search through these books, finding a hairstyle that suits their facial shape, as well as a hairstyle that is easy to maintain, and a hairstyle that is functional for the child. Using these books, as well as advice from the stylist can ensure the child has a hair that works for them.
