Growing Out Your Bangs

The easiest way to change the appearance of the hairstyle that you have been creating is to grow out the bangs. Growing out the bangs can change the complete hairstyles that have been created and although it may come with a transition period, there are many things that you can do to ease the awkwardness when it comes to growing out the bangs and create a style that is going to work for your look.

What should you consider while you are growing out your bangs? First, you may want to consider the overall length of your hair. Considering the overall length of the hair can help you to determine whether you should indeed grow out the bangs and the method that is going to be used to do so.

Contrary to belief, growing out the bangs is more than just skipping a few haircuts. While growing out the style it is important to get regular trims, as this is going to be the best way to reduce those awkward in between stages that can come with the hairstyle. Regular trims through the style can also help to shape the bangs as they get longer and create a look that is going to work with your current style.

Styling the bangs with the hairstyle and pulling them back with the hair is a great way to get the look that you want without requiring the bangs be styled a certain way.

Hair Care Shampoo

Hair Care Shampoo; These products are very gentle and do not contain any harsh chemicals that may irritate the skin and eyes.  BUT! my friend, Susan, told me that these shampoos have a pH of 8, same as the eye, and that is why it doesn’t sting your eyes.  However, she said leave it for the babies. It doesn’t give your hair what it needs.  You need a shampoo that has a pH of  Read below for “Susan’s Hair Tips” for more!
# Violet Shampoo: These shampoos contain pigments to filter out the yellowing in gray and blonde hair. I use one of these to take the “brassiness” out of my hair between colorings.  They can be drying if they contain lighteners, which most of them do.

# Clarifying Shampoo: This is a good product to remove product build up and excess oil.  It contains no conditioning agents so I’d advise to condition a little after if you want to get a comb through your hair without damaging it.

# Pigment Containing Shampoo: you may be familiar with Henna containing shampoos for brown hair and Violets for blondes.  Along the same lines as the Violet Shampoos but for darker hair to enrich the color or lengthen the color between salon visits.
# Conditioning Shampoo: These products contain added conditioners to simplify the washing showering process.  Great for men and children but I don’t use these.  I need heavier conditioners.

# Moisturizing Shampoo: These products contain agents that moisturize rather than stripping.  I use TIGI Bedhead moisture maniac PLUS a moisturizing conditioner by ABBA, called Moisture Scentsation.  And even a few times a week I use a Lange protein additive with the ABBA conditioner.  I also like a detangler, but we’ll get to that later. Dandruff Shampoo: These are coal tar shampoos and medicated products that ease the flaking and itching of this condition. I find this product to dry out the hair.  I had to use a Neutrogena coal tar shampoo for about 3 weeks due to some winter itching.  My hair got so dried out.  Also, I have heard that if you accustom your scalp to the constant use of this product it can become “addicted” to it.  This has not been proven.Volumizing or Body Shampoo: This product contains agents that cause the hairshaft to swell.  It will not give you added thickness however. It contains little or no conditioning agents.

Indian Saree

The sareeis the most ancient of all Indian attires. The magnificence of the saree stems from the fact that it looks good on women of any shape, age or race. The saree is loved by all Indian women. Indian Saree

Description:

A typical saree is 6-9 yards long. It has a border and is sometimes heavily decorated. The long fabric is worn with a blouse and tucked into a petticoat. It is draped around the body to fall in graceful folds. One end of the saree always stays loose and is held at the shoulder. This is known as the pallu. A pallu can be worn in many ways. The most convenient way is to pleat the pallu and pin it to the blouse at the shoulder. For parties and fancy occasions, women often give the pallu one fold only and pin it up so that the fabric flows over the hand. The Indian saree complements the figure of any woman and the versatility with which it can be worn makes it a favorite of the ladies.

Types of sarees:

Each region of India is known for its distinctive weave when it comes to sarees. Different parts of the country have come up with their own specialized version of the Bridal saree. Each weave is different. Some of the well known and extraordinary sarees are mentioned below:

Kanjeevaram sarees:

The kanjeevaram is a kind of silk saree made in south India. It is heavy silk and the thread is woven into colorful patterns to enhance its looks. A kanjeevaram is characterized by its broad borders and bright texture. The patterns woven into a kanjeevaram are usually of temples, palaces or paintings preveant in southern India.

Benarasi saree:

Benarasi sarees are the most expensive of all sarees. This lightweight silk saree is a must for brides in many parts of eastern and north eastern India. Benarasi sarees are hand-woven in benaras/varanasi. Traditional benarasis have flower or temple like designs woven into them. However, nowadays benarasis have contemporary designs too. The patterns in benarasi sarees are made with fine gold or silver thread which attributes to the cost factor.

Others:

Other parts of India have their own specialities too, like the bandhani or bandheja sarees of Rajasthan and Gujrat, gadhwal silks from Andhra Pradesh and paithanis of Maharashtra. Each saree is identified by the distinctive quality of the silk used and the patterns woven into the sarees.

What You Can Do With Short Hair

Sienna Miller Short HairWhat You Can Do With Short Hair

Depending on how short your hair is, there are quite a few different things that can be done with it other than the basic straightening.  If your hair is really short, for example, cut in a pixie cut, then most likely you would only be able to straighten it.  You may however be able to use a hair wax or pomade and create some edgy chunks to create a messy style, or you may choose to use that same wax or pomade to create a super sleek hairstyle.

short hair cut styleIf your short hair is a bit longer say down to you jaw line you can try a few different things.  First you could try to use hot rollers to create some nice curls in your hair.  This look can be very fun if you want to change your hairstyle only for the night.  You can create a soft messy look with soft curls that will add volume and bounce in your hair.  The other option you may want to try is straightening your hair, which will create a nice sleek hairstyle.  If your hair is wavy or curly this option can change your hairstyle dramatically.

Depending on your hair texture there are many styling products you can use to also change the look of your short hair.  Try using a mousse if you have curly or wavy hair to help enhance your wave or curl.  A wax or pomade could be used if you want to try a sleek hairstyle or if you want to create some edgy pieces in your hair.  Have fun experimenting, even though you have short hair there are many things you can try to change up your look.
